As Director of Volunteer Services, Alison Jorgensen oversees the local volunteer center, Volunteer Roanoke Valley, and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Alison sits on several planning and advisory committees for various organizations in the Roanoke Valley. In addition, Alison is Secretary for the Virginia Senior Corps Association, a position she has held for three years. In June of 2009, she was appointed to the Governor's Advisory Board for National and Community Service. Alison is a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA), the only internationally recognized professional certification for the volunteer management field.
