Volunteer Management Training Series
Want to take your career to the next level?
The Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration advances the profession and practice of volunteer resource management by:
- Articulating core competencies for the profession of volunteer administration
- Certifying individuals who demonstrate knowledge and competence in the leadership of volunteers.
- Advancing standards of ethical practice
- Promoting professional development and education
Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) is the only international professional certification in the field of volunteer resources management. Originally developed by the Association for Volunteer Administration (AVA) several decades ago, the program is now sponsored by the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA). The CVA credential reflects mastery of the knowledge required of practitioners in this field as measured through an exam and peer assessment process.
Any local (Roanoke Valley) volunteer manager who registers to complete the CVA process will receive:
- Opportunity to use Volunteer Roanoke Valley office space for the exam
- Proctor for exam
- Assistance studying for exam
In addition, any local volunteer manager who receives the CVA certification will receive a one-year individual membership to Volunteer Roanoke Valley.
For more information, visit the CVA website.
