ROANOKE, VA – (April 23, 2020) – Beginning April 24, a special donation center will be established to receive donations of cloth masks from community members, local businesses, and philanthropic groups.
To ensure the safety of those donating supplies, HandsOn Blue Ridge, a program of the Council of Community Services has developed a process to safely accept and distribute these generous donations, which will help organizations maintain the PPE needed to continue providing essential services to those in need across the region.
How to Make a Donation:
Where: The Drop-In Center, located at 356 Campbell Avenue, SW (building beside the Roanoke City Police Department). There will be signage posted to direct community members to the mail slot in the middle front door. Masks should be packaged one mask per Ziploc bag.

How to Make a Request:
Organizations should submit masks requests via the link:
http://nonprofitroanoke.org/diy-mask-requests/, understanding requests will be fulfilled as masks are donated.
- Organizations are encouraged to submit smaller, more frequent requests to allow more organizations to receive masks.
- Responses including details about pick up times and location will be emailed to the organization contact with instructions on how to wear and cleanse masks.
