A NEW Look is Coming to 211 Virginia

We are excited to announce that over the next few months, 211 Virginia will be transitioning to a brand-new website and an upgraded database platform, designed to provide a more modern, user-friendly experience.

What You Can Expect:

  • User-Friendly Design: Easier navigation with a fresh, modern look.
  • Simplified Agency and Program Listing Management: Streamlined processes for managing your agency’s listings.
  • One-Stop for Community and Agency Resources: Centralized access to resources and information.
  • Enhanced Functionality and Accessibility Improvements: Ensuring the platform is more inclusive and accessible for all users.

Key Dates:

  • Transition Period: November 1 – December 31, 2024
  • Launch: Early 2025
  • 211 Virginia Week: February 10 – 14, 2025

During the transition period, we will migrate the largest health and human services database in the Commonwealth to the new platform. To facilitate a smooth process, we will temporarily pause adding or updating listings. However, if your agency has an urgent update or change during this time, please contact your regional Community Engagement Specialist to ensure accurate and timely referrals. Rest assured, 211 Virginia will remain open 24/7/365 throughout the transition.

Important for Agencies:

In the coming weeks, 211 Virginia-listed agencies will receive an email from our new database vendor, Visionlink, requesting validation of your agency’s contact information. This step is critical to ensure that your agency’s listings remain up-to-date and visible once the new system goes live.

Stay tuned for more details as we approach the launch!
