Roanoke’s Carol Tuning (City of Roanoke, Blue Ridge Continuum of Care), Lee Clark (The Rescue Mission of Roanoke), and Matt Crookshank (Council of Community Services’ Community Housing Resource Center) presented on “Finding Common Ground to Expand HMIS Coverage”. The panel of Roanoke’s finest, along with Marsha Germek (The Samaritan Group, Inc., Gloucester County, VA), discussed the advantages of strengthening private/public partnerships and engaging the community to reduce and end homelessness. Participants were able to learn successful strategies to bring multiple organizations together for a common purpose through data collection and HMIS.
As expected, the presentation went great! The panel received awesome feedback and the audience was very impressed and inspired by the collaboration happening in our region.
